Manuscript has been sent in.

I have uploaded my manuscript and within 5- 7 days, they will get back to me and advise me on what level of editing i need. Since i plan on getting the best editing they have, i see no surprises yet. Though i do have some questions about minor things, it is finally beginning to come together.

Decisions

I have decided to go with Mill City Press. They are willing to let me send in my manuscript and begin on the editing before starting the publishing process. I still have illustrations and a cover to come up with, however i can get the ball rolling within days. I decided on Mill City Press because of their 100% royalties, or when you break everything down, as close as you can get. The president of the company is Mark Levine, who i had mentioned was the author of the book i read called The Fine Print of Self Publishing. He wrote the book before becoming president of the company. I have good feeling about them, and i am soon to be posting my experiences as i go through the process.

How i went about self publishing

I had read a very good book called..The Fine Print of Self Publishing by Mark Levine, a very enlightening book. I had found myself at the time wanting to self publish fast and cheap, however i am re-thinking it over.

I can publish for nearly no money, but i will pay allot for copies of my book, and even more for the add on's.
A fair trade it seems, but i have learned that some of these self publishers retain total control over the rights. They decide if a party is interested in making your novel into a movie or series, even they decide if a well known publisher wants to include you into their employment. And let us not even talk about royalties, it is a shame what the rate is.

On the other hand, pay allot of money up front (for me), to retain the rights and 100% royalties, and get some added benefits from the packages they promote, and we factor in the old saying "You get what you pay for"

I am lucky, on the verge of going with a cheap self publishing company, two friends of mine came to me and offered to invest, to be honest, one the friends helped me create the world itself. So i find myself looking to see what services are in  my range now.
Hey, my friend Steven Salerno entered his short movie in a contest, we can not vote, but i thought i would share the link. My friends are in the movie with Steve , and i even helped out,my name in credits at the end..watch!
